Ben thanked everyone who covered for him while he was away.

 

Steve announced for this calendar for the year they are nearly at $1,000,000 for the Common Man for Ukraine.  Anyone interested may donate to this cause.

Denise announced that it’s time to register for the Rotary International annual convention is in Barcelona this June.   Denise is going. It’s a wonderful opportunity to hang out with thousands from all over the world.

Denise thinks there was a Plymouth Pride Day coming. Not sure of the day at this time.

Sharon said the leaves are starting to change on the Kanc.

 

Club Forum and went over the Pennysale.  Sharon handed out packets to members in attendance and will follow-up with an email to all members soon. The packets have each member lists of local businesses they must solicit and ask for donations to the Pennysale.  In addition, the packets have a donor’s invitation providing info about the Pennysale, as well as a tip sheet for the Rotary member, a mock gift certificate if any business needs one, and a donation acknowledgement form with our 501C3 number for charitable tax purposes. In addition, Sharon will email the master list with all of the businesses listed alphabetically.  We would love anyone to solicit from anyone new, but double check someone else is not already assigned. Let Sharon know if you have a new donor.

 

 

Anyone with questions may ask Sharon, or other members to assist. Set up night must be between 10/21 to 10/28 at the latest. Sharon cannot attend set up night and looking for volunteers to steer this event. Sharon has the colored paper, numbers, tape, staplers, pens, we just need a leader.

 

Any questions about the database, donors, soliciting prizes, let Sharon know. Any other questions about the event itself check in with Dan or Ben.

 

Hometown Holiday Parade update from Bill:  Committee met and getting things organized. The Town will be putting up a tree on the Gazebo AND decorating the Gazebo as well.  The Plymouth Rotary decorates the light poles along Main St AND the rail around the Common.  Date is usually the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Steve advises it would be nice to hire an electrician to light the skyline along the commercial buildings on Main St.   Marybeth reminded us there is a robust Interact Club at the High School and the kids would be very delighted to help, especially decorating Main St and The Common.

 

Marybeth talked about Interact Club and their wanting to raise money for the Common Man for Ukraine camps. They are interested in a fundraiser in downtown Plymouth as a community event. Just planting the seed for now and more to come later.

 

Steve mentioned that on October 9^th at Hollis Center at Dartmouth College will be a concert for the benefit of the Common Man for Ukraine. The event is sponsored by the Hanover Rotary Club.  Outdoor event next to the student quad.
